How to target correct customers in businesses

An entrepreneur should know the target market for the goods/services the business is selling.Target market means that the entrepreneur should know the types of customers who are going to purchase the goods/services the business is selling.

Entrepreneurs should consider several factors before they can target the correct customers in their businesses.
  
The following are some factors to consider before the entrepreneurs can target the correct customers:

Gender 
Target market can be based on the gander of the customers.Here the entrepreneurs should knows the types of goods/services the business is selling.As for examples,the entrepreneur can be selling fashion clothes or the entrepreneur can be selling fashionable items such as bangles,necklaces,spectacles etc.When the entrepreneur is selling fashion clothes then the entrepreneur can decide on either to sell male fashion clothes to target male customers or the entrepreneur can decide on whether to sell female fashions to target women customers.The entrepreneur at the sames time can also decide to sell both male and female fashions  to target both male and female customers.So as for the above example,when the entrepreneur is selling fashionable items such as bungles,necklaces,spectacles etc,then the entrepreneur can decide on either to sell bangles,necklaces,spectacles which are worn by men to target male customers or the entrepreneur can decide to sell bangles,necklaces,spectacles which are being worn by women to target female customers or similarly the entrepreneur can sell both types of  bangles,necklaces,spectacles which can be worn by both male and female customers so as to targets both male and female customers.

Ages 
Target market can also be based on customers ages.When the target market is base on ages of the customers,then the entrepreneur should know whether the goods/services the business is selling is going to benefit old people or if the goods/services the entrepreneur is selling is going to benefit the youth or whether  the goods/services the entrepreneur is selling is going to benefit small children like for examples,when an entrepreneur is selling toys,then he/she is going to target small children or babies etc.

Economical class of the customers.  
When the target market is based on economical class,then the entrepreneur should know the types of classic goods/services the business is selling.For examples when the entrepreneur is selling expensive/classic goods/services such as expensive/classic motor vehicle's,then the entrepreneur should know that the business is going to target high social class customers who are able to spend more on the products which the business is selling.In this economy class,the business can also be selling luxury items/products which are not even durable but due to the products being unique than the other similar products in the market,then the customers can purchase these unique items/products inorder for them to be unique.

Medical condition of the customers
Some goods in the market are for medicinal purposes.So the entrepreneur should decide whether the goods/services the business is selling is for treating ailments.When the entrepreneur is selling herbals/treatment drugs,then the entrepreneur should target sick customers.

Necessity of the products
These are products/services which the entrepreneur can target everyone.This are product which are being required on daily basis and people can not do without.These are all basic needs such as food,clothing and shelter which people requires inorder to survive in this universe.When the entrepreneur is selling food such as vegetables or non vegetable products,then the entrepreneur is targeting all gander of customers and also the entrepreneur will have targeted all social class of the customers as people need food to survive.
